The next two weeks before Christmas break are going to be very busy in the Imagineering Workshop so here is what we will be doing.
In math, the students will have a quiz on multiplication of two digit and three digit numbers by one digit on Wednesday, December 13. It is important that they master this skill since we will be moving into two digit numbers multiplied by two digit numbers when we come back in January. The students have been doing a great job working on this skill each and every day.
In spelling, the students will have their last spelling test of 2017 this Friday, December 15. Next week we will do some spelling activities using Christmas words, but there will not be a test next Friday. Here are this week’s words:
Thanksgiving, among, think, blank, graph, young, wheel, nephew, belong, whiskers, whispers, elephant, white, shrink, wharf, trunk, strong, blink, chunk, skunk, strengthen, bankrupt, phantom, whimsical, whatever
In language arts, we will be reading Christmas themed selections and doing various Christmas grammar activities as well.
In science, we will begin our study of animals preparing for our winter unit.
In religion, we will continue to discuss the liturgical seasons of advent and Christmas. Also, we will discuss the sacrament of reconciliation. On Friday, December 15, the students will have the opportunity to receive the sacrament of reconciliation.
