January 28th through February is Catholic Schools Week.
We will continue the review in all subject areas after our Christmas vacation and the unexpected days off due to snow. With this in mind, I am keeping the same spelling words that we had last week and will test on Thursday, Jan. 11th. We are also reading "An Egg is an Egg" as we did not get to it last week. Hopefully, we will be back on track next week.

Reading: We are reading "An Egg Is An Egg." The vocabulary words are things, always,c day, become, nothing, stays, everything, boy, tower, grew, sunset, night. The skills are compare and contrast, vowel sounds of y, and long vowel patterns (CV- n0, so, Jo, hi, he, she, we )
Math: We will start the chapter on place value as well as counting by 1's, 2's. 5's and 10's. We continue to practice math facts with sums through 12 and differences from 12.
Homework: Please do Lexia for 25 minutes this week.
Monday: Follow the code to identify and color words containing the vowel sounds of y.
Tuesday: Write sentences and draw a picture for selected spelling words.
Wednesday: Math worksheet, study spelling words for Thursday's spelling words.
