Greetings! The excitement of the holidays is definitely in the air...as we continue to study and reflect during Advent, we are preparing our hearts for the birth of Jesus. As always, 3rd. grade is very busy indeed. We read and acted out, The Night Before Christmas by Clement Moore for our Kindergarten pals on Friday. Now everyone is ready for our school's Christmas Concert on Dec.19th. Students must be here by 5:45 pm. that evening. Thank you!
Reading: our new story is "Catch It and Run" genre: MYTH. Myths are old stories that have been told orally for generations. Since myths explore events in nature, this seems to be an attraction for this age group.
Spelling: (short list) the vocabulary used in the content....words are:winter coyote polite rumpus tepee breathe chipmunk freezing whisked flame *No test on Friday this week
*reminder we will have an ice cream sundae party on Dec. 21st..
* Dec. 22nd is an Early Dismissal day................we are still collecting boxtops!! Many thanks for your support.
Merry Christmas and many blessings for a happy, healthy New Year!
