Hello everyone! Open House at our school is January 28th (1pm to 3pm) and this is the actual kick-off for our Catholic Schools' Week events. As I have mentioned before, a packet outlining the events was sent some time ago. Thank you for returning the necessary permission slips that were attached to the Events'Flyer! We will begin Monday, with the Minit-to-Win-it games in our gym....3rd. grade is the PINK team. Please have students dress comfortably, wear sneakers and a pink shirt! Many thanks. The daily events are a lot of fun, build a team approach, and students bond with each other. The school community is truly involved!! Note jFriday is first Friday Mass here...school uniforms only!
Reading: We have finished and completed various activities on our last story, "Jalapeno Bagels". Students enjoyed the main idea and the many mini-lessons that stemmed from the story itself.
Spelling: There is no Spelling list this week (Yes, really!) We will quickly review many of our cumulative spelling words and work independently with those. No Spelling Test Friday :)
Math: We are moving right along, and the students are progressing nicely with Multiplication Facts. Continuous drilling at home is beneficial indeed! Moby Max is an added aide this year and students should spend at least 20 to 30 minutes WEEKLY; a very good interactive program for each child. Thanks for your support!
*reminder we are still collecting Box Tops for education and the Heart Association fundraiser is underway**
