During this full week of school, we have a great deal of learning that will be occuring.
Math- This week the third graders will be work on mastering the 0, 1, and 2 multiplication tables, Please make sure that the students are practicing these multiplication facts nightly. The fourth graders will complete various fact fluency activities as they build their fact fluency for transitioning to mulitplying two digit numbers by 1 digit.
Religion- This week the students will focus on praying the rosary and take a closer look at the mysteries of the rosary. On Tuesday, we will gather as a school community to pray the living rosary. As always we will read and discuss Sunday's Gospel.
Social Studies- Our current unit is on reading and interpreting maps. We will also review directions and understanding cardinal and intermediate directions.
Spelling- There will be a spelling test on Friday, October 19.

Language Arts- This week in language arts the students will begin a fall unit on reading for a purpose and identifying the author's purpose.
This coming Sunday, October 21 is Trunk or Treat at SBS. Please register ASAP if you have not already done so. Let's line the SBS parking lot with lots of cars for the students to Trunk or Treat to.
Also, please remember that 4th grade parents should be checking in on EduConnect for your child's grades and missing assignments. If you do not have your login information, please contact Mrs. Hogan.
Just a reminder that next week is parent conferences. There are early dismissal days on Wednesday October 24, and Thursday, October 25.
