The St. Bernard Liturgy Committee Invites all families to participate in a Lenten activity by making a Crown of Thorns
Sunday, March 23rd in Fitzmaurice Hall at 3:00 pm.
The children with their parent(s) will make a braided crown from salt dough and insert toothpicks as the “thorns”.
As Lent progresses the children will remove a “thorn” for each sacrifice they make or for each good deed they perform.
When all the “thorns” are removed, the crown of thorns should be transformed into a glorious crown for Jesus by painting it gold and adding gems, flowers or other decorations. The children will carry their glorious crowns in the Procession of the Eucharist to the Repository during the Holy Thursday Liturgy.
