Fire Prevention Posters

Fire Prevention Posters

Each year our 4th and 5th grade students are asked to create Fire Prevention Posters to help bring awareness to others about how to prevent and protect oneself from a fire. The posters are then entered into the annual Fire Prevention Poster... contest run by the Fire Departments of Enfield. This year we are very excited to announce that our two poster winners for SBS have also pulled away with a Town win. Congratulations to Faith N. in 5th grade and Amelia J. in 4th grade, their posters were amazing and captured the importance of fire safety. Job well done by all of our wonderful student artists!!

Antarctica Webinar - 4th & 5th Grades

View the embedded image gallery online at:
Last Wednesday grades four and five were able to travel to the South Pole to learn about Antarctica and Adelie penguins. The two classes joined Time For Kids and over 1,800 other classes and participants to learn from a scientist studying penguins in Antarctica. During the live webinar, the students participated in online polls and were able to submit questions that helped direct the webinar conversation. Everyone was very excited to be able to actually speak to somebody live in Antarctica without having to leave the comfort of their classroom. The students learned not only about penguins and Antarctica, but also the importance of following your dreams and passions throughout your life. (Click on the image to see both pictures.)

A Faith Based Community

Saint Bernard Catholic School and Little Angels Catholic Pre-school are faith based communities where we provide a quality Catholic education as we reflect, celebrate and share the message of Christ. We create a warm, nurturing, respectful, spiritual and academic environment where children learn and develop. We prepare young people to live and learn in a Christ-like manner and to become leaders in a technological and contemporary society.
